Job Summary

Experienced Heavy Equipment Operators responsible for operating front-end loaders, backhoes, and skid steer loaders for snow removal and winter maintenance operations. Skilled in clearing snow from parking lots, commercial properties, industrial sites, roadways, and access routes to ensure secure and accessible conditions. Experienced in snow plowing, snow piling, loading and hauling snow, clearing entrances and pathways, and managing snow accumulation during winter weather events. Responsible for conducting pre-operation equipment inspections, performing routine maintenance, following workplace health and safety procedures, and operating equipment safely in challenging weather conditions. Demonstrates reliability, strong equipment-handling skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and during severe snowstorms, to meet snow removal requirements.

Duties

- Operate front-end loaders, backhoes, and skid steer loaders to remove snow from parking lots, roadways, driveways, sidewalks, and commercial properties.
- Push, pile, relocate, and load accumulated snow into dump trucks for transportation and disposal.




- Use appropriate snow removal attachments to clear snow from confined spaces, entrances, loading docks, and access routes.
- Conduct pre-operation equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
- Work during snowstorms and winter weather events, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays, to maintain accessible and safe premises.

Responsibilities

- Ensure all heavy equipment is operated safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Monitor snow accumulation and prioritize snow removal in high-traffic areas, entrances, and emergency access routes.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, mechanical issues, property damage, and potential safety hazards to supervisors.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other team members to complete snow removal tasks efficiently and meet operational requirements.
- Ensure snow is deposited in designated areas without obstructing traffic, pedestrian pathways, drainage systems, or emergency exits.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
