Provide acute care pharmacy services at Edson Healthcare Centre, using direct patient care and medication therapy management. Support emergency department patients through consultative pharmacy care.

As a Pharmacist I with Alberta Health Services Pharmacy Services, you will manage medication therapy initially and ongoing. You will assess drug-related problems, optimize acute and chronic disease treatment, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. The position supports Edson patients while contributing to drug distribution, compounding, packaging, and patient transitions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct care for acute care beds
- Offer consultative care for emergency department patients
- Manage medication therapy and resolve drug-related problems




- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient care teams
- Oversee pharmaceutical preparation, compounding, and packaging

Requirements:

- Complete a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Hold Alberta College of Pharmacy registration
- Maintain Alberta pharmacy licensure and Prac ID
- Hold or complete Additional Prescribing Authority within one year
- Have at least one year recent direct patient care experience
