Palliative care Registered Nurses at Scarborough Health Network provide pain management and family-centered nursing on a 24-bed acute unit.

This temporary, part time position serves the General Site for seven months, with day and night shifts. Reporting to the Manager, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in a multidisciplinary environment. The unit includes 18 palliative-care beds supporting dignified end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess and plan nursing care for acute medicine patients
- Implement and evaluate nursing care and practice activities
- Provide specialist pain and symptom management
- Deliver empathetic patient and family-centered palliative care
- Advocate for patients and caregivers alongside nursing colleagues

Requirements:

- Current College of Nurses of Ontario Registered Nurse certification
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Two years acute medical nursing experience or related placement
- Recent palliative care experience within the last three years
- Expertise managing pain and symptoms
