Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
OT Method: Averaging Agreement after 88 hrs

Located in downtown Toronto, the MaRS Discovery District is one of North America's largest urban innovation hubs. Home to healthcare startups, tech enterprises, and leading research institutions, this fast-paced location requires a dedicated security presence to ensure a secure and supportive environment for employees, researchers, and visitors.

What You'll Be Doing

Working assigned weekend shifts, you will ensure the security and safety of the premises through attentive customer service and rapid response. Key responsibilities include:

- Conducting proactive foot patrols across the facility to deter safety hazards and security risks.

- Responding promptly and effectively to routine incidents, alarms, and emergency situations.

- Investigating routine site matters and drafting detailed, accurate incident reports.

- Assisting visitors, staff, and tenants with professional and courteous service.

Must Haves

- A valid Ontario Security Guard License.

- Minimum 1 year of security experience.

- Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C Certification.

- Proficiency in written and spoken English.

- Ability to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination, an updated Immunization Record, and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.

- Completion of mandatory pre-placement training (including First Aid, Management of Aggressive Behavior, Use of Force, and Report Writing) and post-hire online courses provided by Paladin.

Nice-to-Haves

- Prior experience working in high-volume corporate, healthcare, or innovation facilities.
