Overview

We are seeking an experienced Post Office Clerk to join our team, providing exceptional customer service and efficient mail handling. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a background in retail or customer service environments. Bilingual abilities and technical sales experience are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and operational efficiency. Responsibilities

- Assist customers with mailing services, package handling, and postal transactions using POS systems
- Process shipments, weigh packages, and apply appropriate postage accurately
- Manage cashiering duties including cash handling, sales transactions, and balancing registers
- Provide product demonstrations and upselling of postal products and services to meet customer needs
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the cleanliness of the work area
- Utilize technology for tracking shipments, printing labels, and managing inventory
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining phone etiquette




- Support time management by efficiently handling multiple tasks during peak hours
- Communicate effectively with customers in English or bilingual settings to ensure clarity and satisfaction

Experience

- Previous experience in retail sales, technical sales, or customer service roles preferred
- Familiarity with merchandising, POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers professionally
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities (e.g., English and Spanish) are highly desirable
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and organizational skills will be advantageous
- Basic math skills necessary for accurate transaction processing and weight calculations
- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced workplace

Pay: $19.50-$20.00 per hour
