Overview

We are seeking a reliable Construction Labourer to support construction, renovation, and restoration projects. You’ll work alongside skilled tradespeople to prepare work areas, handle materials, assist with installations, and help maintain a safe, organized job site. Construction experience is preferred, and candidates with practical skills in one or more of the areas below are encouraged to apply.

Duties

- Prepare job sites by moving materials, clearing debris, and setting up tools and equipment.
- Assist with construction, repair, renovation, and restoration tasks under the direction of supervisors and tradespeople.
- Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and appropriately.
- Support carpentry work, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials.
- Help install drywall, apply caulking, and prepare surfaces for construction painting.
- Assist with flooring installation and tile laying, including site preparation and material handling.
- Support basic plumbing and welding tasks when qualified and directed.
- Review blueprints and schematics with the team to understand project layouts and work requirements.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, follow site safety procedures, and report hazards or damaged equipment.
- Load, unload,



and transport materials; perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and lifting as required.
- Must have Working at Heights Certificate.

Skills

- Ability to follow instructions, work cooperatively, and communicate clearly with a construction team.
- Secure, practical use of hand tools; familiarity with power tools is an asset.
- Construction experience is preferred but not required for candidates who demonstrate a strong willingness to learn.
- Carpentry, blueprint reading, and interpreting schematics are valuable skills.
- Experience with drywall, caulking, construction painting, restoration, plumbing, or welding is an advantage.
- Familiarity with flooring installation or tile laying is a plus.
- Dependable, detail-oriented approach to work and commitment to job-site safety.
- Ability to perform the physical tasks required for construction work, with or without reasonable accommodation.
