Overview

- We are seeking a dependable, patient-focused Dental Assistant to support the clinical team and help create a comfortable, organized experience for patients.
- The ideal candidate has experience in dental assisting, strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to patient care. Experience with pediatrics, orthodontics, or dental front-office duties is welcome.
- This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy dental practice.

Duties

- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient visits, following infection-control and sterilization procedures.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a transparent, organized work area.
- Welcome and prepare patients, explain routine steps, and help them feel at ease throughout their visit.
- Record and update patient information, treatment notes, and clinical documentation accurately.
- Support appointment scheduling, patient check-in, and other dental receptionist tasks as needed.
- Help maintain supplies and equipment,



and report any issues promptly.
- Communicate clearly with patients and team members while protecting patient privacy.
- Assist with pediatric visits or orthodontics procedures when appropriate to the practice and training.

Skills

- Dental assisting experience or relevant training; familiarity with chairside procedures and sterilization practices.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and accurate clinical documentation.
- Familiarity with dental practice software such as Dentrix; experience with Epic is also welcome.
- Experience in pediatrics, orthodontics, or dental reception is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with CAD or digital dental technology is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and patient-service skills.
- Ability to follow safety and infection-control protocols and work effectively as part of a team.

Pay: $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
