CNC/CAD-CAM & Custom Woodworking Technician

West Coast Billiards is looking for an experienced CNC/CAD-CAM technician for a full-time, in-shop position in Maple Ridge, BC.

Pay: $35–$40 per hour, based on experience.

We build custom high-end pool tables and other game-room furniture. We need someone who can take ownership of our woodworking CNC operations and help move projects from design and programming through machining, glue-ups and assembly.

Responsibilities:

- Create and revise CAD drawings for custom table components
- Create CAM programs, toolpaths and effective sheet layouts
- Set up and operate our CNC router safely and efficiently
- Select appropriate tools and make routine machine and program adjustments
- Read and work accurately from drawings, specifications and measurements
- Review and improve our existing designs and programs
- Inspect completed parts for dimensional accuracy and quality
- Manage tooling, bits, spoilboards, machine setup and maintenance
- Keep all CAD, CAM and production files properly organized and documented
- Assist with material processing,



glue-ups and assembly of CNC-cut components
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized production area
- Train the owner on the software, programming and machine operation as we work

Requirements:

- Proven professional experience operating woodworking CNC routers
- Strong CAD and CAM experience
- Experience with woodworking, cabinetry or furniture production
- Ability to read technical drawings and work accurately with measurements
- Strong mechanical understanding and problem-solving ability
- Able to work independently and make sound production decisions
- Highly accurate, organized and committed to quality
- Able to safely handle sheet goods and perform hands-on shop work
