Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong sewing and alteration skills, takes pride in their work, and pays close attention to detail.

This position involves performing a variety of garment alterations as well as assisting customers at the front counter. We are looking for someone who works efficiently, can handle alterations independently, and provides friendly, qualified customer service.

Responsibilities

- Perform a variety of garment alterations, including hemming, zipper replacements, waist adjustments, sleeve alterations, and alterations to jeans, trousers, dresses, skirts, suits, and jackets.
- Pin garments, take measurements, and assess alteration requirements accurately.
- Determine suitable alteration methods based on the garment and the customer's needs.
- Operate sewing machines and related equipment confidently.
- Ensure completed garments are neatly finished and meet quality standards.
- Assist customers at the front counter and answer questions about alteration services.
- Communicate professionally with customers in person and over the phone.




- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining consistent quality.

Qualifications

- Previous professional experience in garment alterations.
- Ability to independently perform a wide range of common garment alterations.
- Good knowledge of sewing techniques, fabrics, and garment construction.
- Experience with hems, zipper replacements, waist adjustments, sleeves, suits, dresses, and jackets.
- Ability to pin garments, take accurate measurements, and assess alteration requirements.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable assisting customers and handling front-counter inquiries.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
