About the Role

The Taurus Group is seeking a detailed oriented, reliable, organized, and enthusiastic Freelance Video & Photography Production Assistant to support our production team on a project-by-project basis.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a creative environment, is comfortable travelling to different shoot locations, and is eager to gain experience in professional video and photography production.

The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently while supporting photographers, videographers, and other production crew members.

A valid Ontario driver's licence and access to a reliable personal vehicle are mandatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with setting up and dismantling video and photography equipment.
- Transport cameras, lighting, tripods, audio equipment, props, and other production supplies.
- Drive to various shoot locations and assist with on-location logistics.
- Support photographers, videographers, and production crew during shoots.
- Assist with lighting setups, backdrops, props, and basic audio equipment.
- Organize, maintain, and safely handle production equipment.
- Keep production areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Help ensure shoots run smoothly and remain on schedule.
- Assist with general production tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid Ontario driver's licence (Class G or equivalent).
- Access to a reliable personal vehicle and willingness to travel to various shoot locations.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.




- Comfortable lifting and carrying production equipment, with or without accommodation.
- Adaptable availability for freelance assignments, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different production requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in video production, photography, film, events, or media is an asset.
- Familiarity with cameras, lighting, tripods, and audio equipment.
- Basic knowledge of photography or video editing software.
- Experience assisting with commercial, corporate, event, or promotional shoots.

Previous experience is an asset, but candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
