Status: Part-Time Term Appointment Monday – Friday. FTE 0.5. = 4 hours per day (inclusive of 45 mins/day preparation time & 15 min break) Strong Start hours 8:30 -11:30 am. The starting wage for this position is $31.62/hr.
Commencement Date: ASAP – June 18, 2027
Applications are invited from qualified Early Childhood Education applicants. The Strong Start Program Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of the Strong Start Program at JS Clark Elementary School.
Qualifications:
- Must be ECE infant/toddler registered with or able to register with BCECE registry.
- A valid Child Safe First Aid Certificate
- Experience in creating, planning, implementing and budgeting for a parent participation early learning program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Positive organizational and planning skills.
- An understanding of, and a commitment to,
quality early learning.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of parents, children, volunteers, professionals and community members.
- Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, community resources and early learning.
- A class 5 Driver's License and access to personal vehicle.
- Clear Criminal Record Check.
