We are seeking a dedicated Cold Storage Warehouse Worker to join our team. This role involves working in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled setting where precision, safety, and efficiency are paramount. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, including heavy equipment operation and order fulfillment, and possess a strong work ethic to support our logistics and distribution processes. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems and heavy machinery operation while contributing to the timely shipping and receiving of goods.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload products using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems and order picker equipment
- Operate heavy machinery safely, including forklifts, crane, and other warehouse equipment
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
- Support inventory management through accurate stock counting and recording
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals
- Follow safety protocols specific to cold storage environments to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics roles is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is a plus for operating heavy equipment effectively
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and other material handling machinery
- Experience in shipping & receiving processes and order picking procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) regularly throughout shifts
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards in cold storage environments
- Previous warehouse experience in cold storage or temperature-controlled facilities is advantageous
- Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment for extended periods while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
