We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant, who will report to the Plant Controller, as an integral part of the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

- Processing bi-weekly payroll in a web-based payroll system for 70+ employees.




- Maintaining master payroll and benefits tracking spreadsheets.
- Entering all approved general journal entries.
- Reconciling specific general ledger accounts.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Reconciling bank accounts monthly.
- Calculating and remitting quarterly WCB reports and payments.
- Preparing and submitting reports monthly/quarterly for GST/HST, QST and PST.
- Assisting as needed with accounts payable, month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Other reporting, projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years progressive accounting experience with:

· Previous experience processing payroll.

· Post-secondary studies in accounting.

· Experience with SAP Business One in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

· Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

· Eligible and pre-qualified to legally work in Canada.

Pay: $73,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
