Position Summary:

Galaxy Freightline Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations at our Calgary facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing processes, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining efficient inventory control. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch.
- Supervise and manage warehouse staff, schedules, and performance.
- Ensure proper handling of freight, packaging, and load balancing for both LTL and FTL shipments.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with Alberta safety regulations
- Enforce company policies, health & safety regulations, and security procedures.
- Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to align warehouse activity with trip planning and delivery schedules.
- Monitor productivity and implement process improvements
- Manage equipment usage and ensure proper maintenance
- Prepare reports and maintain operational records

Qualifications:

- 5–10 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role (preferably in freight, transportation, or logistics).
- Good understanding of workplace safety standards and regulations.




- Robust knowledge of freight handling, palletizing, load securement, and cross-docking.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with safety regulations (e.g., WHMIS, TDG, forklift safety).
- Basic computer proficiency and experience using WMS or TMS systems.
- Valid driver’s license, Forklift license/certification is required.
- Good knowledge of computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, inventory systems)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
