We are looking for an experienced Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager to lead collection activities while managing a portfolio of customer accounts in Mississauga, Ontario. This position combines hands-on account oversight with team leadership, requiring someone who is detail oriented and can strengthen cash flow, guide collection staff, and support consistent application of credit and collection standards. The successful candidate will work closely with internal partners to address disputes, assess risk, and improve overall receivables performance.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and support Collection Specialists through day-to-day coaching, guidance, and practical problem-solving on challenging accounts.
- Review account portfolios regularly, set priorities with the team, and adjust collection approaches to improve recovery results.
- Oversee collector performance, monitor workloads, and reinforce adherence to established collection practices and service expectations.
- Manage a personal group of customer accounts, follow up on overdue balances, secure payments, and help lower outstanding aged receivables.
- Handle complex or high-exposure accounts by developing tailored strategies that balance risk management with strong customer relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of account activity, including payment commitments, disputes, follow-up actions, and customer communications.
- Track delinquency and aging trends, focus efforts on priority accounts, and contribute to regional and company collection objectives.
- Partner with Billing, Sales, Operations, and other internal teams to resolve disputes promptly and escalate significant concerns when needed.
- Support credit reviews, customer onboarding assessments, and credit limit recommendations while ensuring documentation meets policy requirements.
- Contribute to process enhancements, team training,



and collection initiatives that strengthen accountability and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated experience in B2B collections, credit, or accounts receivable leadership.
- Strong knowledge of collection workflows, account follow-up practices, and dispute resolution methods.
- Ability to coach team members, manage performance, and promote a collaborative, results-driven work environment.
- Experience reviewing customer risk, supporting credit decisions, and assessing account exposure.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar business systems.
- Solid customer service and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive collection conversations professionally.
- Experience with payment processing, account documentation, and maintaining accurate financial records.
