XL Tool Inc. is currently seeking a motivated Tool and Die Apprentice / Machinist to join our growing team.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, develop their technical abilities, and contribute to a skilled manufacturing team.

- Registered Tool and Die Apprentice, preferably in their second or third year
- Interest in building, developing, and troubleshooting new metal stamping dies
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T;, and understand engineering specifications
- Ability to troubleshoot tooling issues in a production press environment




- Strong mechanical aptitude, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and respectful of others

Responsibilities and Contributions

- Assist with the construction, assembly, development, and maintenance of metal stamping dies
- Support die tryouts, troubleshooting, and improvements in a production press environment
- Perform conventional machining operations as required
- Assist with tooling modifications, repairs, and continuous improvement activities
- Participate in light automation assembly and related manufacturing projects
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Work collaboratively with toolmakers, machinists, and other team members
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Additional Assets

- Welding experience
- Familiarity with CNC machining and programming
- Previous experience with metal stamping dies or custom tooling
