Benson Truck & Trailer is currently on the lookout for a full-time Automotive Service Advisor to join our Ottawa, ON team.

Wage rate based on experience.

Our Service Advisors are responsible for listening and taking note of our customer needs to assist them with the maintenance and/or repair of their vehicle. In this position you would:

- Acknowledge walk-in customers immediately upon their arrival
- Service customers with the utmost professionalism and make a special effort to ensure that every visit is an enjoyable experience
- Advise customers regarding their service decisions by gaining a comprehensive understanding of their symptoms or requirements
- Rectify customer complaints/concerns in a courteous and professional manner
- Keep shop Manager informed of any problems regarding shop or customer related matters
- Schedule service appointments for customers,
- Prepare and relay work orders,
- Keep records of all customer interactions and transactions.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is motivated and resourceful, in addition to:

- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of computer systems/programs
- Valid driver’s license
- Some knowledge of tools and equipment
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and independently
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Automotive repair and preventative maintenance sales




- Experience in a sales or customer service role involving automotive service, tires, parts and accessories (an asset)
- Experience in the tire and auto service industry (an asset)
