We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and motivated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team in a cardiac testing clinic. This position is ideal for a nurse who is eager to learn and develop their skills in cardiac diagnostics, including electrocardiograms (ECGs) and Holter/Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitor testing.

Previous cardiac experience is an asset but is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong willingness to learn, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada and must hold Canadian permanent resident status or Canadian citizenship. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applicants who require a work permit for this position.

The successful candidate will assist with patient preparation, cardiac testing, accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation, and the coordination of patients for physician consultations and review.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare patients for physician consultations and cardiac testing, assisting with procedures as required.
- Learn to perform ECGs and apply monitors following clinic protocols.
- Explain testing procedures to patients and obtain signed consent where required.
- Accurately enter and update patient demographics, medications, medical history, and other relevant information in the EMR. Carefully review requisitions to ensure all information is entered correctly.




- Process and prepare patient information and cardiac testing records for physician review.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and handle all medical information in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
- Restock examination and testing rooms as needed.
- Maintain cardiac testing equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

- Diploma in Practical Nursing.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use electronic medical records.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when entering patient information and processing requisitions.
- Valid BLS certification.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- A professional, friendly, and calm approach when interacting with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
- A solid commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, accuracy, and teamwork.
