IT Project Manager:
On behalf of our Public Sector client, Procom is searching for an Project Manager for an intermediate role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Winnipeg, Manitoba office.

IT Project Manager - Job Description:
The IT Project Manager will oversee comprehensive management and control of all project aspects throughout its life cycle to meet prescribed objectives. The role involves utilizing various project management methodologies, including waterfall, agile, and hybrid, to lead and manage the project team effectively.

IT Project Manager - Responsibilities:

- Communicate regularly with all project stakeholders, including project owner, teams, and resources.
- Direct the activities and deliverables of assigned project management resources.
- Monitor risks and opportunities, and coordinate project completion activities.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets.
- Work with consultants and stakeholders to define project requirements and manage procurement processes.
- Manage project execution, monitoring, and controlling to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Conduct project closeout reviews and assemble necessary documentation.





IT Project Manager - Mandatory Skills:

- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing Information Technology projects
- Valid PMP Certification or Prince2 Practitioner certification
- Expertise in project lifecycles and project planning including resource, cost, and schedule estimation
- Experience developing business cases
- Experience planning and managing projects in a Public Sector organization
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
- Strong communication skills; oral, written, and presentation

IT Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Strong facilitation skills
- Robust critical thinking and problem resolution skills
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
- Familiarity with TOGAF, Salesforce, Microsoft Power BI, Dynamics, .Net
- Experience with Project Management Institute (PMI) and International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)

IT Project Manager – Assignment Length:
This is a 6 - month term. With a possible extension of 18 - months
