Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutor to join our team as an independent Service Provider for in-person, at- home tutoring.

As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students in Grades 1-8 in English and Math. This is a part time position with flexible hours.

Duties:
- Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with young students for English, and Math.
- Create personalized lesson plans and teaching materials based on the individual
needs of each student.
- Assist students in understanding difficult concepts and improving their academic
performance.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning
experience.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents or guardians
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop strategies for student success
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress

Skills:
- Strong knowledge and expertise in the Ontario Secondary School curriculum
- Experience working with students in an educational setting
- Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Patience and empathy when working with students who may be struggling
academically.




- Excellent organizational skills to track student progress and manage multiple
tutoring sessions

Requirements:
- 3rd/ 4th year Graduate Student or Bachelor's degree in Education, Science,
Languages, or Math as major subject
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with computerized learning platforms is a plus
- OCT or Special education experience will be an asset
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Certificate from Halton Police.
