Overview

At PFM, we make the behind-the-scenes magic happen, creating and managing digital publishing workflows so social media teams can focus on what they do best: being strategic and creative.

As an Account Manager, you'll be the go-to person for our clients and the glue that keeps everything moving. From managing day-to-day publishing operations to building strong client relationships, you'll keep projects on track, tackle challenges head-on, and make sure the little details never get missed.

If you’re an experienced Account Manager with extensive social media management experience who has led a content operations team independently, takes initiative, anticipates needs before they arise, and is excited to support the client experience from start to finish, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Client and Internal Team Coordination

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients on day-to-day matters, ensuring a consistent approach to multi-channel conversations.
- Help translate client feedback into a clear direction for the content operations team.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, notes, and action items.
- Lead weekly internal meetings with the content operations team (publishing organic social media content at scale for enterprise clients) and the Vice President, Client Services, to review the upcoming week and ensure that everything is on track for delivery.
- Provide weekly reports to the Vice President, Client Services, outlining successes, wins, pain points, notable events, and other relevant information.
- Lead check-in calls with the client to review the content calendar and to discuss any action items or needs that may arise. This includes preparing notes/agendas and sending follow-up communication.

Content Publishing and Delivery

- Work closely with the content operations team to ensure correct assets, copy, and tags are received and scheduled accurately.
- Track content calendar deadlines and flag any risks to publishing timing.
- Support the planning and execution of campaigns, launches, inflection points, and events.

- Stay up to date with the client’s tools and possess an in-depth understanding of how to navigate them and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Quality Assurance

- Review content for accuracy, brand alignment, and technical specifications across all platforms to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Monitor live posts for proper execution, proactively resolve issues as they arise, and escalate any significant issues that require attention.

Insights and Optimization

- Work with the content operations team to track post performance and surface high-level insights to inform future publishing strategies.
- Stay current on platform changes, emerging trends, and best practices to ensure content remains relevant and effective.
- Provide the client with relevant insights and recommendations during ongoing check-in meetings.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in account management, organic social media management, digital marketing, client services, or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities while consistently delivering high-quality work.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Previous experience managing and leading a team, including coordinating workloads and ensuring accountability.
- Hands-on experience publishing organic social media content for clients across multiple platforms using social media management and scheduling tools.
- Strong working knowledge of social media platforms, trends, best practices, and performance insights.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot publishing challenges, solve problems independently,

and implement effective solutions.

Why Work for PFM

- Work-life balance, for real, with a remote-first work environment.
- Time to recharge with a generous vacation package.
- A team that has your back. Work alongside collaborative, creative people who genuinely care about each other and the work they do.
- Your voice matters. We're a small, growing team where your ideas are heard, valued, and encouraged.
- Less red tape, more trust. We value autonomy, open communication, and giving people the space to do their best work.

Who This Role is Not For

We believe finding the right fit goes both ways! We want you to love what you do, so let's be upfront about what this role isn't.

- You're looking for a purely strategic role. You'll work closely with strategy teams, but this role is focused on bringing those strategies to life through seamless execution and publishing operations.
- You want to focus solely on content creation. While you'll work alongside creative teams, this isn't a content creation role.
- Your experience is primarily in paid media or analytics. This role is rooted in organic social media publishing, client relationships, and content operations rather than paid campaigns or performance analysis.
- You're looking for a fully asynchronous role. While we're fully remote and value work-life balance, collaboration is a big part of how we operate. Our regular working hours are 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM ET, with occasional flexibility needed to support client coverage when teammates are away. This may mean temporarily adjusting your hours (e.g., 12 PM to 8 PM ET), but it wouldn't be your regular schedule.
