CNC Machinist - Desboro, ON

Our client is currently looking for a CNC Machinist to join their team in Desboro, ON.

Responsibilities

- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines, including Bridge and Boring Mills, Lathes, and cutting equipment.
- Operate hand and bench grinders, forklifts, and lifting devices (training and certification provided where necessary).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work environment using 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in safe and operational condition.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences.




- Verify accuracy and conformance of finished parts using calibrated measuring tools.
- Identify equipment malfunctions or deviations in machine/product quality.

Qualifications

- Experienced in CNC programming and operation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, tools, and their operation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and measurements.
- Certification as a Journeyman or Red Seal CNC Machinist is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with G-code and Gibbs Cam software for program creation, editing, and testing.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
