Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient front office operation. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of medical terminology and office procedures.

Duties

- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations using electronic medical records systems such as Universal.
- Collect patient information and verify insurance details accurately.
- Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Process incoming correspondence and manage office supplies efficiently.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office organization.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care and communication.

Skills





- Proficiency in using medical office software, particularly Universal
- Strong understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
- Excellent front desk management skills with a focus on customer service.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail in administrative tasks.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is essential for efficient workflow management.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
