The Peter Boyer GM Napanee is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join our dealership in Eastern Ontario. The Boyer Auto Group has locations that run across Central Ontario with Dealerships and Auto Body Shops in Pickering, Lindsay, Cobourg, Bancroft, Bobcaygeon, Napanee, Belleville and Trenton. The group includes brands such as Chevrolet, Cadillac Buick, GMC, Ford ,Lincoln, Nissan, Kia and Mazda, Chrysler, Dodge Jeep, Ram and Subaru. We also connect you to Fix Auto and Car Star Body Shops.

Job Duties:

- Extensive knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to explain systems and repairs to other service staff.
- Ability to maintain current product/technical knowledge and training as required
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned.
- Perform as well as assisting others in Diagnostic/root causing/repairing technical and mechanical vehicle issues especially with advanced vehicle systems.
- Determine if additional safety or service work is required through vehicle inspections.
- Perform road tests to validate and confirm customer complaints and successful vehicle repair.
- Promote mentorship and good business practice to coworkers

What We Look For:

- Valid Automotive Service Technician Certification of Qualification




- Experience working in an automotive repair environment.
- Technician versed in General, Transmission, electrical and diesel repair.
- GM dealership experience an asset but not required
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Clear Driver's abstract
- Strong aptitude for technical/mechanical repairs.
- Effective diagnostic aptitude, with strong time management skills.
- Detailed customer focused approach and a team player.
- Robust communication skills.

**SIGNING BONUS FOR THE SELECTED CANDIDATE**

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00-$115,000.00 per year

Experience:

- automotive technician: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
