- Offer helpful, high-level design suggestions up front that balance look, function and value
- Build a steady stream of new leads through outreach, industry partnerships and community involvement
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with local business owners, partners and stakeholders
- Work closely with the Design and Estimating teams to turn client ideas into competitive, buildable proposals
- Manage the sales pipeline with a consultative approach: qualifying, guiding and following up with clients
- Present budgets, proposals and work authorizations, and keep clients informed through the pre-construction phase
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and networking functions
- Conduct market research to stay on top of industry trends, pricing and competitor activity
- Develop and manage the annual budget for marketing, advertising, sponsorships and community donations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or business development, ideally high-value B2B work within the construction, architecture or engineering sectors.
- Post-secondary education in business, construction management, marketing or a related field is considered an asset.

- Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to uncover unspoken client needs.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate different personalities and stakeholders.
