Heavy Duty Mechanic – Off-Road Equipment & Heavy Trucks
We are looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of construction equipment and trucks for rural projects in and around Edmonton.
Prior experience working on construction equipment such as graders, excavators, skid steers, loaders, mulchers, and support equipment is an asset. Experience working on John Deere construction equipment is considered a strong asset. Candidates must also be willing and capable of performing repairs and maintenance on trucks and trailers.
Must be able to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and breakdown troubleshooting in both the shop and field as required. Required to complete pre-service and post-service inspections, identify mechanical issues, and carry out repairs in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities include regular servicing, greasing, minor fabrication and repairs as needed, keeping accurate service records, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Welding experience is considered an asset.
Must be able to provide own transportation to the shop and job sites as required.
Must have availability to work Saturdays and optional Sundays as needed; overtime is paid additional.
The majority of our work is within 100 km of Edmonton and out of town stays are not required.
