Housekeeping Aide

Elgin Lodge Retirement Living is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to

help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

● Clean resident suites, including bathrooms and living areas.

● Clean and maintain common areas, hallways, lounges, dining areas and public

washrooms.

● Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop and sanitize surfaces as required.

● Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in accordance with established procedures.

● Replenish cleaning supplies and maintain an organized work area.

● Safely handle cleaning products and equipment.

● Assist with laundry duties when required.

● Perform general duties and light maintenance tasks as required.

● Follow infection prevention, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.

● Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards.

● Respect residents,



their personal belongings and their privacy.

Qualifications

● Reliable, organized and able to work independently and as part of a team.

● Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, as required.

● Comfortable standing, walking, bending and performing repetitive physical tasks.

● Able to safely use a step ladder when required.

● Previous housekeeping, cleaning, laundry or general maintenance experience is an

asset but not required.

Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time — To be determined.

Pay: $17.83-$18.94 per hour
