We are currently hiring experienced Mechanical Designers / Draftsmen with sawmill experience to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sawmill equipment, mechanical layouts, and industrial design, with the ability to turn concepts into detailed, fabrication-ready drawings.

Full time 40 hours per week with possible overtime. Primarily remote-based work.

Responsibilities:

- Produce 2D mechanical drawings and equipment layouts.
- Design and draft sawmill machinery, material handling systems, and related equipment. i.e. DeBarkers,



Conveyors, Planers, Trimlines, Tilthoists etc.
- Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Work with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams.
- Revise existing drawings and develop equipment modifications.
- Dedicated to quality excellence with a superior work ethic
- Must be able to work unsupervised

Qualifications:

- Previous sawmill drafting or design experience required.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of mechanical components, fabrication, and steel structures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
