Job Summary

We are seeking an Accounting Teacher of High School Students to deliver engaging instruction in accounting principles, software, and business applications. The ideal candidate combines accounting knowledge with strong teaching, communication, and public speaking skills, and can help students apply concepts through practical projects and data-driven analysis. Experience with learning management systems (LMS), including Google Classroom, is valued.

Duties

- Plan and teach lessons in accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and related business topics.
- Develop assignments, projects, and assessments that build students’ accounting and business analysis skills.
- Demonstrate accounting software, including QuickBooks, and teach practical applications of Microsoft Excel.
- Use an LMS such as Google Classroom to organize course materials, communicate with students, and track progress.
- Explain financial and analytical concepts clearly through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and presentations.
- Provide timely feedback on student work and support learners in meeting course objectives.
- Incorporate research, analytics, and data analytics into relevant lessons and projects.




- Connect accounting concepts with project management, marketing, and digital marketing applications where appropriate.
- Use tools such as Adobe Creative Suite when developing instructional or presentation materials.
- Maintain accurate course records and contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and accounting software.
- Teaching ability and strong communication, writing, and public speaking skills.
- Classroom experience preferred; experience using an LMS, particularly Blackboard, is an asset.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Ability to guide students through research, project management, business analysis, analytics, and data analytics.
- Familiarity with marketing, digital marketing, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Strong organization, adaptability, and commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning setting.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
