Thyme & Again is looking for an experienced, customer-focused Full-Time Retail Team Member with strong barista experience to join our busy café and retail team!

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced café environment, genuinely enjoys connecting with customers, and takes pride in delivering excellent service. With our fresh, evolving menu of prepared foods, baked goods, and specialty beverages, every day brings something different!

The ideal candidate is confident preparing espresso-based drinks, comfortable multitasking during busy service periods, and ready to jump in and contribute from day one.

Responsibilities

- Prepare high-quality espresso-based beverages and specialty café drinks efficiently and consistently.
- Deliver warm, attentive, and qualified customer service.
- Confidently operate the POS system and process customer transactions.
- Assist customers with our fresh, rotating menu of prepared meals, baked goods, and retail products.
- Serve, package, and present food products while maintaining quality and freshness standards.
- Replenish displays, monitor inventory, and maintain attractive product presentation.
- Keep café counters, equipment, service areas, and customer spaces clean and organized.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficient service during peak periods.
- Support daily café operations, including opening, closing, and other assigned retail duties.

What We're Looking For

- Strong, hands-on barista experience is required, including confidently preparing espresso-based beverages in a busy café setting.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced café, coffee shop,



or similar food service environment is required.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain organized during busy service periods.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Reliable, punctual, adaptable, and comfortable taking initiative.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
- Interest in fresh food, specialty coffee, baked goods, and café culture.
- Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain.
- English proficiency required; French is considered an asset.

Availability

- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends is required.
- Specific shifts and schedules will be discussed during the recruitment process.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 10-15 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, crouch, and perform repetitive movements.
- Comfortable working in a physically active, fast-paced café environment.
