Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Buffet Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking the breakfast buffet dishes and a la carte breakfast dishes in a fast-paced, customer-focused workplace. Provide breakfast service to all guests on buffet, a la carte and room service. Ensuring the breakfast and lunch buffet is set out on time, fully stocked and all hot items and cold items are present, well presented and taste excellent. Ensuring the quality preparation and presentation of all menu items and proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with hotel standards, safety and health regulations.

Duties

- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Provide assistance to the banquet cooks with cooking pastries and preparing breakfast items for banquets.
- Assisting in receiving and stocking shelves from the deliveries of all food products, using the FIFO method (1st in 1st out)
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining food quality and hygiene standards as it relates to food production, efficiency and waste.
- Serve breakfast dishes efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workstation
- Assist with food presentation, garnishing, and plating to enhance visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils,



and work areas throughout the shift
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing

Experience

- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in a restaurant or food industry setting
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques specific to breakfast dishes such as eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with attention to detail
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt to special dietary requests when needed
- Strong understanding of kitchen safety practices and proper use of kitchen equipment

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
