This is a contract role required for 2 months on-site in London and St. Thomas area.

Project Overview

SafetyCo is seeking a Site Safety Officer to support a 2-month construction project in London, Ontario and St. Thomas area. This field-based role is ideal for a safety skilled who is confident working independently on active job sites while collaborating with project teams to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying hazards, and promoting a strong safety culture on site.

Requirements

What You'll Do

- Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and provide actionable reports





- Support implementation of health and safety programs on site

- Lead worker safety orientations and verify training compliance

- Collaborate with site supervisors and contractors to mitigate risks

- Participate in project meetings and provide safety recommendations

- Assist with incident investigations and documentation

Liaise with regulatory bodies when required

- What You Bring

- Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience

- Strong knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Construction Regulations (O. Reg. 213/91)

- Experience with inspections, hazard assessments, and reporting

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
