Are you an Indigenous student currently in your second year of a common law degree program at a Canadian university? We have a great prospect for you. We are looking for a student with creative problem-solving skills and the ability to readily adapt to changes in priorities and plans. You will be working in our Legal Affairs department in Calgary and will assist our team in the provision of legal services and support to Suncor. Our Indigenous Student Program is another way we are progressing the way we think and act to build mutual trust and respect with Indigenous Peoples.

Minimum Requirements:





- You are currently a 2nd year student enrolled in a common law degree program at a Canadian university and returning to full-time studies after the work term
- Attach your most recent transcripts with your application in order to be considered

Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research, analysis and draft memoranda
- Draft commercial agreements and assist with regulatory and corporate matters
- Assist team members with project work
- Participate in meetings with Suncor’s legal affairs team and internal clients

Location and other Key Details:

- This is a student position for a term of 4 months starting May 2027
- You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
