About the Role

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians while helping provide exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to their families.

Responsibilities

- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care and treatments
- Restrain and handle pets safely and compassionately
- Prepare examination rooms and treatment areas
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical equipment
- Perform kennel duties and ensure patient comfort and cleanliness
- Assist with radiographs, laboratory samples, and diagnostic procedures
- Stock supplies and maintain inventory
- Support reception duties as needed,



including client communication and scheduling
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment sheets
- Help create a welcoming and positive experience for clients and their pets

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred
- Veterinary Assistant training or certification is considered an asset
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Excellent teamwork and organizational skills
- Comfortable handling cats, dogs, and other companion animals

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
