We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide services in the Cornwall and surrounding area. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a home care setting. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care while demonstrating empathy and respect for those we serve.

Duties
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with meal preparation to ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Providing personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Supporting individuals with disabilities by helping them engage in daily activities and promoting independence.
- Performing heavy lifting as necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
- Assistance with Home Support duties such as housekeeping and meal preparation
- Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for those in your care.
- Assisting clients with dementia care by employing appropriate communication techniques and activities tailored to their needs.

Experience




Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

- Previous experience in patient care such as hospital settings, nursing homes, Retirement homes, Home Care is preferred.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is advantageous.
- English / French Language
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A compassionate approach towards providing support to individuals facing various challenges, including dementia care.
