Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Heat Loss and Duct Designer to develop practical, accurate designs for heating, ventilation, and duct systems. This role combines technical analysis, CAD drafting, system design, and coordination with customers and project teams. The successful candidate will help move projects from initial requirements through design review and documentation, while maintaining clear communication and organized project records.

Responsibilities

- Calculate heat loss and assess project requirements to support appropriately sized heating and duct systems.
- Prepare and revise duct layouts, schematics, drawings, and related design documentation using CAD tools.
- Coordinate design details with customers, engineers, contractors, manufacturing teams, and other project stakeholders.
- Review drawings and specifications for accuracy, constructability, and alignment with project requirements.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and status tracking; identify issues and communicate them promptly.
- Assist with product development, manufacturing coordination, construction inspection, and maintenance-related design needs as applicable.
- Organize files, manage revisions, and prepare clear presentations and project updates.
- Apply sound analysis, math,



and mechanical principles to troubleshoot design questions and support effective solutions.

Skills

- Core technical skills: CAD, AutoCAD, drafting, system design, schematics, mechanical knowledge, mechanical engineering, and robust math and analysis skills.
- Design and engineering tools: Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Project; and, where applicable, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, MATLAB, and Python.
- Relevant technical experience: Manufacturing, construction experience, construction inspection, product development, maintenance, laboratory experience, electrical engineering, programmable logic controllers, debugging, and oil and gas projects are useful.
- Project and workplace skills: Project management, lean manufacturing, leadership, organizational skills, time management, computer skills, computer operation, communication skills, presentation skills, and customer service.
- Language skills: Qualified English proficiency is required. French and bilingual abilities are welcome.

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
