Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, organized Chef to lead kitchen operations in a Canada’s 100 best nominated restaurant and prepare high-quality tasting menus in a welcoming hospitality environment. The Chef will oversee food preparation and cooking, maintain food safety standards and work closely with the team & Executiv Chef to deliver a consistent, positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

- Plan menus with executive Chef, prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Coordinate daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, service timing, and kitchen organization.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff, delegate tasks and help maintain a collaborative, efficient team.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, portioning, and consistency throughout service.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures, including proper storage and temperature control.
- Track kitchen supplies and inventory, communicate replenishment needs, and help minimize food waste.
- Collaborate with restaurant management and front-of-house staff to support smooth service.
- Assist with hospitality and food service duties as needed,



including serving and clearing when needed.
- Train team members on kitchen procedures, safe work practices, and preparation standards.

Qualifications

- Experience in a chef or professional kitchen role; restaurant experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking, and safe food handling.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices.
- Supervising experience, with the ability to provide clear direction and support team management.
- Leadership skills and the ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced food industry environment.
- Food service experience and familiarity with restaurant management or hospitality operations are preferred.
- Serving or bartending experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
