Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy machinery. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and technical expertise. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, forklifts, aerial lift equipment and farm machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct welding, assembly, and disassembly of machinery components as needed
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
- Maintain detailed records of service work performed and parts used
- Assist with the installation of current equipment and upgrades to existing machinery
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs
Skills
- Proven experience with heavy equipment repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in heavy equipment
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical or hydraulic systems
- Proficiency in welding, assembly, and use of power tools or hand tools for repairs
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues quickly
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about repairs or maintenance needs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while adhering to safety protocols
