We are actively recruiting for a Personal Support Worker for a private female employer to assist with all activities of daily living.

The employer is writing her own book and learning Spanish. She has a valuable sense of humor and enjoys music, singing, and clothing; she also loves interior design, social networking and putting outfits together.

The Ideal candidate will be available to work the shifts below and reside in or near the Parksville area.

Location:

- Parksville, BC (Parksville Town Centre)
- Open to candidates in Qualicum Beach, Nanaimo, and surrounding areas.

Shifts & Hours of Work:

- Tuesday and Thursday 9:00am to 4:00pm
- Thursdays 4:00pm to 6:00pm
- Overnights 10:00pm to 6:00pm
- Additional back up shifts available

Compensation:

- $25.25 per hour during 3 month probationary period; $26.25 an hour afterwards
- Overnight is a flat rate of $150 a night.

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

Morning shift

- Assist with personal care including changing incontinence products, catheter care, shower 3x per week, hair wash (separate from shower twice a week), peri care (always has BM in incontinence product) and dressing
- Meal prep of Breakfast and Lunch
- Assist with transfers (overhead lift)
- Medication administration
- Light housekeeping and grocery shopping (occasionally)

Evening Shift:

- Personal care such as change incontinence products,



dressing, catheter care, and applying estrogen cream inserted vaginally and bedtime prep.
- Medication administration
- Housekeeping duties
- Meal prep for dinner
- Transfers

Required Qualifications:

- 1 year of experience as caregiver
- Live in the Parksville, BC area
- Fully vaccinated
