General Manager — Landscape Design & Build

Greentree Outdoor Living is looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial General Manager who wants to help build an exceptional company and sees a long-term future doing it.

We design and build custom outdoor living spaces, including landscaping, patios, decks, pergolas, custom structures and pools. We have an established business, a explicit vision for growth and an opportunity for the right leader to make a meaningful impact. You’ll take ownership of daily operations and help turn that vision into results.

What you’ll lead

- Daily operations: Lead sales and client managers, designers and estimators, administration, project managers and field teams. Set priorities and keep everyone moving in the same direction.
- People and culture: Recruit, coach and develop employees. Build strong leaders, address performance issues and create a team that takes pride in its work.
- Scheduling and delivery: Own the construction schedule and coordinate people, subcontractors, equipment and materials to deliver projects efficiently.
- Project readiness and quality: Confirm projects are ready before they start. Hold teams accountable for budgets, workmanship, communication and completion.
- Problem-solving: Resolve issues independently, support staff with difficult situations and take ownership of escalated client concerns and warranty work.




- Financial performance: Work with the CFO to monitor costs, budgets, profitability and cash requirements. Identify problems early and take action.
- Improvement and growth: Improve processes, purchasing and equipment use. Help implement practical AI tools for estimating, design and administration.
- Marketing and events: Coordinate team participation in tradeshows, golf tournaments and other initiatives that build relationships and generate business.

Who we’re looking for

You have experience leading people and delivering projects in landscaping, construction or a closely related industry. You understand how decisions on site affect quality, timelines, costs and client relationships.

You bring:

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to earn trust while holding people accountable.
- Sound judgment and confidence making decisions without constant direction.
- Experience managing schedules, budgets, crews and subcontractors.
- Sales and negotiation experience.
- Clear communication and the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- An interest in improving systems and adopting useful technology.
- Drive, initiative and a long-term commitment to growing with a team.

You follow through on commitments, anticipate problems and bring solutions. You care about the finished product, the client experience and the people doing the work.

Compensation and benefits

- Starting base salary of $80,000 per year.
- Additional performance bonuses based on revenue, profit and other key drivers of company success.

- Six weeks of annual vacation: four weeks in December and two weeks in January/February.
