Tiny Bumblebees Child Care is daycare in Davisville Village. We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate Supervisor for a one-year coverage position. The successful candidate will be passionate about working with children and knowledgeable about early childhood education.

Our highest priority is ensuring every child is secure, cared for and supported in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operation of Tiny Bumblebees Child Care.
- Stay informed about early learning and child development, the Reggio Emilia approach, and applicable Ministry of Education and Toronto Public Health requirements.
- Plan and deliver programming that reflects the centre’s philosophy.
- Support the monitoring of the centre’s budget and payroll, and keep track of inventory.
- Understand and implement the requirements of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA), along with applicable Ministry of Education and Toronto Public Health policies and regulations.
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe, caring manner, including providing support for children with diverse needs and disabilities.
- Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming environment for children, families and staff.
- Prepare monthly calendars featuring enriching activities that build a sense of community, such as outings and graduation celebrations.
- Communicate with families about special events, children’s progress and any concerns.
- Conduct tours,



follow up with prospective families promptly and maintain the waitlist.
- Conduct monthly fire drills in accordance with applicable Toronto Fire Services and Ministry of Education requirements.
- Support children’s social development through group activities and play.
- Maintain children’s health and safety at all times.
- Mentor and support students and staff in a positive, constructive way.

Requirements and qualifications

- At least two years of experience working in a child care centre, including at least one year in an Assistant Supervisor or Supervisor role.
- Early Childhood Education diploma and current registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Current Criminal Record Check.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization and initiative.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and an approachable, friendly manner.
- Proficiency with Google Drive, Excel and Microsoft tools.
