Title: Security Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $26.56 - $27.53 per hour

Site: University Health Network - West Park

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 0900 - 1700 (On-call availability required after hours for emergency calls)

Overtime Methodology: ESA—Overtime after 44 hours

West Park Healthcare Centre provides specialized rehabilitative and complex care to help individuals regain independence after life-altering illnesses. You will lead a security team committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead, coach, and mentor security staff and Team Leads to ensure high operational standards.

- Oversee daily security operations, conduct site audits, and perform active interior and exterior patrols to identify risks.

- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management for team members.

- Investigate incidents, complaints, and workplace concerns while reviewing incident reports for accuracy and timeliness.

- Respond directly to emergencies, major incidents, and hospital code activations.

- Maintain strong, skilled relationships with hospital leadership, emergency services, and key stakeholders.

- Remain available on-call after regular work hours to respond to emergency calls as needed.

Must Haves

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.





- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.

- Required immunization records (MMR, Varicella) and a completed two-step TB test.

- Legal authorization to work in Canada.

- At least one year of healthcare security leadership experience.

- Valid Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) certifications (or willingness to complete Paladin's training program prior to onboarding).

Nice-to-Haves

- Post-secondary education in Police Foundations, Security, Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field.

- IAHSS advanced healthcare security certification (or willingness to obtain with Paladin support).
