Title: Security Guard

Employment Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Site: Ingredion

Schedule: Monday to Thursday (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM), Friday (3:00 PM – 8:00 PM)

Overtime Methodology: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Site Overview

Ingredion Incorporated operates a large-scale industrial processing facility featuring advanced production equipment, bulk storage areas, and controlled-access zones. The site relies on structured perimeter patrols and consistent safety standards to safeguard assets, maintain protocols, and support continuous operations.

What You'll Be Doing

- Conduct proactive interior and exterior patrols to maintain site safety, identify policy breaches, and report facility concerns.

- Assist visitors and employees during regular shifts and critical events, contacting emergency services as required.

- Respond promptly to security alarms and incidents in a calm, professional manner.

- De-escalate situations, offer first aid or medical assistance when necessary, and collaborate with police, fire, and paramedic personnel.

- Manage lost and found inquiries and property logs.

- Build skilled, helpful relationships with client staff and visitors.

- Execute site tasks directed by security leadership and client management.

Must Haves

- Valid Ontario Security License

- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider

- College or university education

- Fluency in English (written and spoken)

- Legal authorization to work in Canada

- 6-inch all-leather safety boots with ankle coverage

- Completion of Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification prior to onboarding (training cost covered in exchange for a 6-month commitment)
