We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive cloud infrastructure automation and platform engineering initiatives across the enterprise. This hands-on leadership role will be responsible for designing and optimizing AWS-based solutions advancing CI/CD practices implementing Infrastructure as Code and enabling secure scalable and resilient software delivery. The successful candidate will partner closely with engineering security and operations teams while mentoring DevOps practitioners and promoting a cloud-first automation-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of enterprise DevOps platforms toolchains and engineering standards.
- Architect deploy and support scalable AWS cloud solutions
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and automation frameworks.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automate deployments and improve operational efficiency.
- Design and manage containerized environments using Docker and AWS container services.
- Support application modernization cloud migration and microservices adoption.
- Implement monitoring logging alerting and observability solutions.
- Drive reliability performance security incident response and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership mentorship and guidance to engineering teams.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 8 years of experience in DevOps Cloud Engineering Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
- 3 years in a technical leadership or lead engineering capacity.
- Experience designing and supporting large-scale AWS environments.
- Proven experience building enterprise CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.

- Financial Services or highly regulated industry experience

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position.
