Our client one of the largest suppliers of residential construction systems in Ontario is expanding rapidly and looking for a Forklift Mechanic to join their team/ This role will be responsible for mechanical repair and maintenance of equipment that supports the production of quality building components.

You will work primarily at their shop in Courtice ON. This is a excellent opportunity to join a company that offers great job security practices an open door policy and invests heavily in infrastructure and their people.

Salary: Starting wage of $35.60 per hour

Shifts: Mon-Fri day shifts. OT available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Reviewing daily forklift inspection reports completed by operators
- Inspecting and testing forklift engines and systems to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Adjusting repairing or replacing defective mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical components
- Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled service work
- Repairing and rebuilding hoisting mechanisms and other forklift systems
- Testing and adjusting repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and safe operation
- Reviewing work orders and discussing repair requirements with supervisors




- Advising management on equipment condition recommended repairs and maintenance requirements
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
- Adhering to all company safety policies procedures and regulatory requirements
- Other mechanical repair duties as required.

Requirements:

- Must have a valid Class A drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
- 2 years of experience repairing and maintaining forklifts heavy equipment or similar machinery.
- Familiarity with manufacturers such as Toyota Hyster or Yale is an asset.
- Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical including schematics and diagnostics.
- Ability to work independently and and lift up to 50lbs
- Red Seal Ontario 310T or Powered Lift Truck Technician certification (292E) ticket an asset.
