Design precision analogue electronics and instrumentation at the Ellison Institute of Technology in Oxford, supporting nanopore sequencing development. This Senior Electronics R&D; Engineer role focuses on advanced electronic interfaces, measurement systems, and prototype devices. You will develop low-noise circuits, multi-channel acquisition systems, and automated testing while working with MEMS, mechanical, and multidisciplinary teams. The programme advances decentralised sequencing diagnostics for infectious diseases.
Key Responsibilities
Own electrical engineering development from concepts through integrated prototypes Design custom test equipment and experimental measurement platforms Develop low-noise analogue circuits and acquisition electronics Investigate noise, leakage, shielding, grounding,
and signal integrity Coordinate suppliers, technical partners, and outsourced development
Requirements:
Degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, physics, or related discipline Significant electronic engineering research and development experience Robust analogue and mixed-signal electronics understanding Experience building circuits, printed circuit boards, and laboratory systems Ability to automate testing, analyse data, and guide prototypes Apply precision measurement, low-noise design, and experimental engineering to advance EIT nanopore sequencing systems in Oxford.
