Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for full-time Automotive Mechanic Teaching Assistant position at Onoway Jr/Sr High School, Onoway, Alberta for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year.

Successful Candidate Responsibilities

- Assist the teacher in teaching Senior High Mechanics

Teacher Assistant Requirements/assets

- Journeyman Automotive Service Technician certification, or Mechanic-related certification, or strong mechanical skills and knowledge
- A student-centered approach to instruction
- A demonstrated commitment to team-oriented practice and teamwork
- A willingness to participate in the school community
- Additional consideration will be given to a candidate that is a certified teacher or has experience instructing automotive mechanics.

Start Date





- November 2, 2026 or when the successful candidate is available.
