Role Description The Certified Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Abbotsford Volkswagen in Abbotsford, BC. In this position, the technician performs diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Volkswagen vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and safety guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include conducting inspections, performing scheduled services, completing warranty work, and documenting all repairs accurately.

The technician collaborates with service advisors and parts personnel to ensure timely service and explicit communication with customers.



This role also involves staying current with Volkswagen technical updates and participating in ongoing training to maintain certification and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

- Strong technical skills in vehicle diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, ideally with experience on Volkswagen or European vehicles.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, service manuals, and repair software to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ability to follow manufacturer procedures, safety standards, and quality control processes in a busy service environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for working with service advisors, parts staff, and other technicians.
- Valid automotive technician certification or Red Seal endorsement, with additional Volkswagen factory training considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering secure, reliable work for customers.
- Previous dealership or service center experience is preferred, and willingness to participate in ongoing professional development is expected.
