We are seeking a Relief Part Time Clinical Dietitian| Diabetes Education Program Insulin Dose Adjustment/Certified Diabetes Educator in Nelson and Castlegar, B.C.

Diabetes dietitian position covering Nelson and Castlegar diabetes clinics.

Nelson days: Wednesday, alternating Thursday and Friday.

Thursday

Nelson shifts are 09:30-17:30, other shifts are 08:30-16:30 Castlegar days: Tuesdays and alternating Thursdays 08:30-16:30.

Days of work: Days, Tuesday to Friday

Shift times: 08:30 to 16:30, 09:30 to 17:30

This is a relief position until January 3, 2028 or the return of incumbent.

Utilizing and applying advanced knowledge and experience in relevant clinical techniques (through Insulin Dose Adjustment (IDA) competency and/or Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) qualifications) and in collaboration with the health care team, the Clinical Dietitian provides nutritional services through: nutritional assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, client goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs for patients/clients; orientation, guidance, and sharing of collegial information or demonstration of equipment or work processes to others including peers, recent staff, and students in accordance with professional standards and program objectives.

The Clinical Dietitian provides input on Regional, Provincial,



and local diabetes services by participating in the development of nutritional practice guidelines and procedures and by participating in research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the program.
