Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to work in a modern, paperless environment alongside an established team and an employer guided by strong core values. Your daily responsibilities will include:

- Efficiently processing and filing correspondence from clients, foreign associates, CIPO, and the USPTO;
- Keeping critical due dates organized and up to date in PATTSY WAVE, our docketing system;

- Invoicing clients and following up on accounts receivable within established turnaround times;
- Responding promptly and professionally to routine client inquiries;
- Stepping in to support other assistants across the firm as needed;
- Taking on other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a motivated professional who brings the following qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on trademark docketing and clerical experience in an intellectual property setting;
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel, plus the curiosity and aptitude to learn new software and technology;
- Experience with law firm billing software and IP docketing software, preferably PCLaw and PATTSY WAVE;
- Clear, confident, and professional English-language communication skills, both written and oral;
- A sharp eye for detail, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to perform under pressure with minimal supervision;
- A responsible, reliable, and punctual approach, with the ability to stay productive in a hybrid/remote, paperless environment;
- A collaborative mindset, strong team skills, and the initiative to take ownership of your work.

Certification as a Canadian Trademark Administrator will be considered a valuable asset. Ready to apply?
